Making low carb simple
Instructions
Instructions are for 4 servings. Please modify as needed.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Rinse and peel the rutabagas. Cut into wedges and place them in a medium-sized bowl. Add the olive oil, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spread the rutabaga wedges on the baking sheet. (remove “Place in oven and”) Bake for 20 minutes or until the rutabaga wedges become golden. Use a knife to check if they're ready. They bake faster towards the end, so pay attention.
Serve with meat or fish of your choice.
Tip
Rutabaga season is October to March so they are great for fall and winter meals. They keep in the fridge for up to two weeks so you can try them out in multiple ways!
Carbs in root vegetables
The numbers are grams of carbs per 100 grams. Note that rutabaga has less than half the carbs of potatoes, making rutabaga wedges a significantly better option (but still not strict lowcarb). Fullguide>

Question regarding the macros in this one, where is the 14g of fat coming from?

The 14g comes from the olive oil. 1T olive oil has 14g fat. This calls for 4T and is 4 servings.

I've never had a rutabaga before so I tried this recipe. I can't believe it but I like these more than potatoes!! Hubby and I are both doing keto and we had these wedges with our steak today. It was like eating steak and taters again. :) Super easy recipe and the wedges do feel like regular potato wedges but they are so sweet! I am so thankful for Diet Doctor. Keep the simple, low carb recipes coming please. :)

Hi. Could someone please let me know if the carb count(7) is for the 4 servings? . Is so I guess 2 servings is just half (3.5) right?
